Dinghy Motor Mounting

Has anyone figured out where to mount a dinghy motor on a Hunter 41 DS? Is it acceptable to mount on deck in the deep locker? Wheres the best place to carry your dinghy. Thanks

How about on the stern rail?

I don't remember what a 41 DS stern rail looks like, but I assume it has a straight section to mount the OB.By the way, how many HP is the OB? or how many pounds?

Made a mount

I placed my outboard motor on a rail on the starboard side. Because there was not a section where the railing was straight were it met a "T", I had to build a mount. I used a regular square rail motor mount, a wooden dowel, a sprinkler line PVC "T" and a hose clamp. Looks good and was not that expensive to make.The dinghy is kept rolled up and in the v berth unless we have guests.
