Hi Donna,I had the same problem with my 40.5; there is no "T" in the railing that would fit the standard square motor mount. I was able to adapt it by using a plastic sprinkler line "T", a 1-inch dowel and a stainless hose clamp.Cut the plastic "T" in the center of the leg until you score the top of the "T". Score the top just enough so that you can open the "T" up and slip it over the second rail. Bolt the motor mount on the top rail. Cut a section of the dowel, long enough to fit between the "T" and the mount. Fit it all together and use the clamp on the "T" to keep it together. Works great and you will be able to place the motor mount any place that has a straight section of railing. And it costs a lot less then buying the Edson motor mount.
