So, on the outside chance that whoever lost their dinghy outside the Golden Gate Bridge reads this forum, I found it Monday. It was a few miles outside the gate just hanging out with the crab pots. If you lost your dinghy over Memorial Day weekend private message me and we will get it back to you.

If it has CA numbers just turn it in to harbor patrol, or any authorities.

Friend of mine came from New England to Annapolis. Off New Jersey he had to head to sea to skirt a storm. It wasn't until he was in the C&D canal he saw the dinghy was missing. Back home he got a letter. A fisherman had found his dinghy out in the Atlantic. Friend had painted his name and address on the floor of the dinghy. The fisherman packed it and sent to to friend, Friend reimbursed him, for sure. Not sure why it took him nso many miles to miss his dinghy.

Any registration # to track on the CA dinghy?

A few summers ago sitting on a mooring ball in Cat Harbor a big T-storm blew up over that part of the island--somewhat unusual for out here. My "not-properly-tied" cadet dinghy w/ 4-hp got loose from the boat. I called the Harbor Patrol to inform that if (during their on-going rescues) they found a 6-ft Zodiac w/ 4-hp engine blowing to sea, it was mine (gave mooring ball number), etc. Of course, this was all happening a night. Next morning, the HP brought me the dink that had fouled a mooring ball on the way out, so did not get out of the harbor. So, your owner might have advised the HP or USCG, whatever you have there in SFB, about the loss of the dink.
