I have researched dinghy davits and considering sourcing from Martek or Garhauer for my Hunter 31. Does the forum have any recommendations?

Key the argument "garhauer" in Search and you will find nothing but praise for their products. I have their radar tower and fiddle blocks, all top quality at a fair price. But Martek is also a top brand.

Either one - you won't go wrong. As Ed mentions, you'll find nothing but praise for Garhauer. Martek is a newer, smaller company but the same "family" values hold there also...

Thanks for the feedback. Based on my research Garhauer offers a complete system at the lowest cost for new davits. I did find used davits for a lower cost but would have to travel to Southern California to inspect them prior to purchase. I purchased a solid boom vang from Garhauer last year they were excellent to work with. That being said, I plan to call Mark at a Garhauer to confirm price, delivery and whether their dinghy davit system can be supplied with an option for a future second crossbar to support a solar panel.
