Sea Casper- Thanks for the photo. They look good. Are you happy with the davits? I see you have the dinghy motor off. Can you keep it on the dinghy while its hoisted?
Our motor is a 9.9hp 4-stroke and probably is near 100 lbs, and would be a strain on the dinghy transom. the davits can take the weight. While on a mooring we have left the motor on, and only raised the dinghy only enough to clear the water. while on the davits we pull the plug out on the dinghy and keep the stern low to drain any rain water.
Docking with the motor on could be hazardous, as it would protrude past the boat on the prop side, I wouldn't want to snag a piling with it.
