I will be buying a dinghy this summer and need some input. My boat is a S35CC. Any ideas what to get and where to put it on deck? I will power it by an Endura with 55# of thrust, this is an electric trolling motor. Any help would be appreciated.

A folding portabote might be a good bet for use with an electric motor and to put on deck.

I like my 8.5' Baltik raft with an inflatable floor. When going any distance I pull it up on to the front deck and lash it down. My little Minn Kota moves it pretty well but not for very long. I was only using a car jumper battery and could get about 45 min out of it. It did move it up wind pretty well. I prefer to use my 8hp Nissan. A little overkill but a lot of fun.

We fold a 9' 6" avon in half on the back deck of our 30 ft center cockpit. We might do davits someday, but this works for now. We hoist it with the main halyard.
