Click on the "Boat Info" Tab at the top of the odayowners.com home page. There you can select both the 22 and the 222 and make some comparisons.

I have 222.
It sails 'spankenly across the water.'
The helm is nicely balanced.
I've rigged it to raise and lower the mast by myself, but it's much better to make it a two-man job.
No complaints about this boat.

A scale measurement of O'Day's drawing gives a bridge clearance of 30 ft., 6 in. for the 222. Based on measurments of my 1984 222, actual clearance is 30 ft.
Caveat: Use this information at your risk; there are no guarantees; as any sailmaker will tell you, each boat will vary some from the 'design nominal.'
