Ward, what you have to do is get an eBay sniping program. I prefer jbidwatcher myself, use it on a Mac. It should be cross platform... This allows you to enter an item, set a time for the bid (I usually do 2 minutes before the end of the auction) and a max price. Then, the program will automatically enter your bid, and eBay will automatically ratchet the auction up to your max. If the other bidders go less than your max, you'll get your object for less. If they go higher, then you don't win anyway. I also find it's a good way to control myself. It forces me to say "What's the MAX I'd pay for this?" and that way I won't be tempted to go higher during the heat of an auction... And you can set this early in the auction, and forget about it for a few days until you get the email that you won. Brian
