Hi, I am installing a Webasto AirTop 3900 heater on my 361 and would like to find out how to install the fuel extractor. According to Webasto I can't drill in the diesel plastic tank to install the fuel standpipe, I know I must not install a T in the fuel line to the engine so I am asking for your help please.

Thanks

I know nothing about Webasto AirTop 3900 heaters so excuse if my question will sound stupid....but since the 75lt fuel tank of the Beneteau 361 is already very small comparing to other similar size boats, could you install a separate fuel tank for such thing? Probably a 30-40lt fuel tank in one of the two lazarettes?

A separate fuel tank may not be a bad idea… We have limited experience with our new heater, but it does run for much longer that I anticipated in "normal" mode (most of the night). It's fuel consumption would not be insignificant with only a 40 liter tank. Even at it's lowest rate of consumption, you'd probably burn at least a liter a day. Sorry to sidestep the question at hand, but I'm not familiar with the details of your fuel supply.

Thanks for the info. I will certainly consider a separate fuel tank but this means that I will have to find a place for it and also look into a vent installation.
