I have a Wabasto AT 3500 forced air furnace on my '83 Hunter 34. The boat is new to me and I am trying to understand the systems. The furnace has a bulkhead mounted temp. control and a system on/off switch in the rear 1/4 berth. Once I turn the switch on and turn the temp. up to full, the furnace goes through it start up cycle. I can hear the pump pulsing and, over time, the fan comes on. The furnace cycles 2 or 3 times and then the fan comes on stronger but no hear. Does anyone know how the diesel fuel ingnites? Is it a glow plug, a ceramic igniter or something else? How do I access the unit to see if the igniter is, in fact, working?

Any chance the heater runs off a separate small fuel tank, like mine does, and you are out of fuel?
