My new Hunter 33 has a snake river tank indicator for diesel, fresh water and waste water. While I have had no problem with the fresh water and the waste water, the diesel indicator is a big problem. First, the indicator had a reading that the tank was empty when it was full. Then the sensor was changed and at first the reading seemed reasonable(about 8 10ths). Then after taking the boat out, the tank read full(10 10ths). When under way, the indicator is all over the place, but when back at the dock it is full. There was only a wiring harness which attached to the sensor. Is there another ground wire some place which may be loose?

same problem

We've had the same problem with our new 33! Will be interesting to see if anyone else has, also. We haven't worried about it too much since we make sure we have plenty before we leave. Been too busy taking care of other problems such as: 1. Hunter drilled a hole in the waste line below the closet in the aft berth. Our dealer had to cut away part of the side to gain access to replace the line. Still waiting for Hunter to send the "custom fit teak cover" for the hole. 2. Discovered last week that the fuel hose was rubbing against another hose on the engine and was ready to burn through which would have caused a BIG problem! Glad we weren't out in the middle of Lake Superior when that happened! Isn't boating fun!!! Happy Sails, Kathy

Fuel Gauge

My fuel gauge is now stuck at 3 bars. I had been getting inconsistant readings, prior to the freeze. I tried to reset the gauge but nothing happens. Looks like a service item.
