Diesel Fuel 2 yrs old - is it ok to run?

I am looking at a Catalina 30, 1988 and the fuel in the tank is 2 years old. Is this still ok to run or should the tank be drained?

Dump It!

There is no reason to keep that fuel. It probably could be "polished" but that would cost. The P.O. of my boat had the tank and fuel cleaned and polished 4 years ago and it cost him $200.00, probably $300.00 now. I would dump the fuel (pump out and dispose of properly), clean the tank as best I could, change filters, and put new clean fuel in her. The engine will run better, with less chance of clogged filters.
