diesel engine upgrade possibility?

anyway.. I have a yanmar ysm12 1979 vintage which is becoming just too troublesome.

I think its the time to pull it and have her rebuilt.

I have 2 questions.
1) can anyone give me some pearls regarding yanking that engine out of a 79 Hunter 30'? (cherubini)

2) has anyone attempted or know if its possible to upgrade that old manual injection system to a computerized injection system?

Seperatd the shaft flange (can be difficult)
Unbolt tops of motor mounts
Disconnect all the lines
Disconnect shift throttle and stop cables
Disconnect all electrical thx sensors
With mast up place a 2x4 under the end of the boom
Use a come along on the boom to lift up the motor
But if the yard has a for life or crane they can lift the mirror right off he beds.
Take pictures and label Everything so you know how it goes back together

Rebuild the engine. But by would you mess with near perfection of the old on Yanmar by putting a computer ( read electronic that doesn't play well with salt water) by trying to reace the mechanical injection system.
