Thanks guys. About the injectors, The #1 injector has a different part number than the number 2 and 3. Do I need to carry both? Also, what about the Fuel Lift Pump? Do they fail often? Thanks
That engine is a Kubota diesel, repainted gold by Universal. (You'll probably see the original Kubota blue coming through here and there.) A Kuboata dealer should be able to tell you what the differences are between the #1 and the #2 and #3 injectors. I can't tell you much about the fuel pump durability, other than during the 9-years that I owned a U 21, mine ran with no problems. I bought the boat new, and ran the diesel approximately 40 days/yr. Sorry that I’m unable to give engine hours, but try 3hrs./day as an estimate.
The only difference on the injectors is the one nipple vs. two nipple banjo fitting for fuel, which is re-usable. You need carry only one injector. Check the heat exchanger - might want to get a new one. Carry spare heat exchanger zincs (pencil zincs).Thermostat and gasket.Raw water pump, or kit. Pump is a better option. I would certainly replace the engine mounts if they are more than 10 years old, you will be shocked at the improvement. I would also carry spare glow plugs, see my recent post. I refurbished my M25, if I think of anything more I'll post again.
