I finally got tired of the suck it out method.
I pulled the pan on my Yanmar, drilled and tapped the rear bottom of it, and installed a drain plug. On the Yanmar, it is angled enough, that I had to leave a fair amount of oil in it. One reason I did the flush. Had to pull the pan, and it was a major project, but oil changes since have made it well worth the effort.
