Did the Hunter 23 come with a factory gin pole?

Did Hunter 23's come with a factory gin pole? I was in the boat yesterday and came across a pole about as long as the boom and too think to be a whisker pole. It has a big hook at the end, could this be a gin pole and tackle? I didnt have time to pull it out and look at it.

I also found matching sail and tiller covers so I am pumped.

Prev owner may have made one - send a pic; it may be just a sort of boat hook he made.

Actually I just yanked it out of the boat and after closer investigation here is a bit more detail. The pole is about 3 inch diameter aluminum and about 8 feet across. There are hook like clips on the end that slide open and closed via a cable. Is this something that works with the spinnaker? Its not made it was certainly purchased.
