I just purchased a 1985 22 Hunter that had been abandoned by its owner. It's in need of a lot of work, I'm hoping that someone can send me a copy of the original owners manual and brochures

Sweet boat, good choice. There is a 1981 manual(PDF) and lots of other good H22 information in "Hunter Owners Mods": http://hunter.sailboatowners.com/index.php?option=com_kb&Itemid=267&cat_id=6&page=model&mn=22 . I don't think there were too many changes over the years.
Good luck... I also bought my H22 after the p/o had let it sit for years. Mine is in decent shape, but requires quite a few things to be replaced. Lines and mainsail are mostly sun rotted (easy fixes). The hatch/portlights and side windows all leak (I have already fixed those). But the major replacement will be the keel, which had snapped in half. I am doing a haul out sometime in the next couple weeks, where I will replace the keel (I bought a new one from Foss Foam) and then paint the bottom. Mine sits in the water 24x7.
