Dick - You posted what looked like two interesting projects in the photo forum. Unfortunately the photos are thumbnail sized. Can you repost with larger pics? 640x480 or 800x600 usually work well. Look forward to "seeing" your projects. Thanks, Ron Mehringer Hydro-Therapy

Ron along those same lines...

your PowerCleats article did not seem to post correctly (or at least I can't get it to load). Finicky computers!

Try, try, again

Having trouble sending the pictures. Site wouldn't accept the pictures from my program because the file was too large. When I reduced the pixels, it reduced the picture.

Dick - If you need a free, easy to use program for viewing and doing basic picture manipulation (like resizing), look into Irfanview. It's hugely popular. Use the link below to go to the site. Personally, I use ACDSee. It will cost you a few pennies, but I find it to be the best program for viewing and making basic adjustments. Ron Mehringer Hydro-Therapy

Ron, Tried the site

Resize the picture and reduced definition to the 72dpi, but forum doesn't seem to accept it. It doesn't reject it. It just loops.

Step by step

To post the picture I have with this message, I did the following: Using my software (ACDSee) I took my original 1600x1200 image, which was over 803KB, and resized it to 640x480 and saved it under a new name. There should be no need to change the dpi, since on screen each dot, or pixel, displays independently so "dots per inch" is somewhat of an irrelevant concept (applies more to printing). The new file is 65.6KB in size.

To post the picture I have with this message, I did the following: Using my software (ACDSee) I took my original JPG 1600x1200 image, which was 803KB, and resized it to 640x480 and saved it under a new name. There should be no need to change the dpi, since on screen each dot, or pixel, displays independently so "dots per inch" is somewhat of an irrelevant concept (applies more to printing). The new file is 65.6KB in size. The image must be less than 80KB. I wrote the text you're reading and checked off the "I have a photo to post with my reply!" box and then clicked the "Acknowledge and Submit" button. On the next screen I clicked the "Browse" button to find and select the image file on my computer. When the dialog box closed I clicked on the "upload" button. The next page should show your picture. If it's there and looks right, just click the right button and you should be done. If you followed this process, and it still didn't work, then maybe there's another problem. Hope that helps.
