I am refurbishing my Oday 28 and have just received from Rig Rite two halves of a plastic ball and two stainless steel clips. The ball, when assembled fits into a horizontal ring attached to the mast and a claw like fitting at the head of the boom somehow fits onto the ball...I think. This assembly constitutes the gooseneck. Does some one have a diagram of this Isomat assembly they can email or sell or else instruct me on how this is supposed to work. Would greatly appreciate any help. Joe

Raise the boom to vertical.

I also am replacing these parts on my 28 this year (they are easy to drop overboard when old and loose). Once the parts are assembed on the ring on the mast, the boom must be raised near the vertical and slipped down over the slot created by these two fittings. As the boom is them lowered, the claw like fitting on the boom holds everything in place. It seems like a lot of engineering to solve a simple connection. Good luck! Wayne

Thanks, Wayne.

Thanks for the tip. I finally got the boom attached as you instructed. Easy when you know how. Joe
