Diagonal wire replacement on 2004 H41 AC in mast furling

Has anyone replace the diagonal stays RD2 and D2, between the 1st and 2nd spreader? And the real question are the measurements in the manual correct? Where the 2 wires touch there is a bit of wear that makes me feel a bit uncomfortable. I know I could climb the mast and measure, but I would prefer not too.
