I have a early model Marriner, before the self bailing cockpit, mid 60's? I have been noticing for the past couple years what appears to be corrosion comming through the gelcoat at the chain plates. It appears that the plates are deteriorating. Has anyone had to deal with this before, and what does it usually cost to correct? Can the chain plates loosen up and pull up through the deck?
