I still have some stuff from the old house to move. By the time I get a trailer and get it loaded, hey that guy is selling his trailer and boat across the street. Cool boat. I'll bet I can load the rest of the house stuff on the boat and save some money.

I've heard the fly idea was developed by a german worker who cleaned the restrooms in a Berlin train station, early 1900's. Painted a bug in the urinal and suddenly the floors were less of a mess to clean.
Speaking of cleaning restrooms -

According to a news report, a small private school in Washington was having a problem. It seemed that a group of twelve year old girls were bringing lipstick to school and putting it on in the restroom. That was fine. But the problem was that after they put it on, they would all kiss the mirror, leaving dozens of lip prints for the janitor to clean off. Every night they were cleaned off. The next day, more lip prints on the mirror.

Finally, the principal decided that something had to be done. She called all the girls to the restroom where she waited with the janitor. She explained that the lip prints were causing extra work for him because he had to clean them off every night. The girls rolled their eyes, stared at the ceiling and did their best to look bored.

To show the girls how hard it was to clean the mirror, she asked the janitor to show them how much effort was required. He took a long-handled squeegee, dipped it in a toilet, then cleaned the mirror with it. After that, there were no more lip prints on the mirror.

This is my all time favorite funny sailing story- true story:
I crewed for several years on a friend's boat in an off shore series on Lake Ontario. One day we had taken a newbie out as one of the crew. He was very worried about what he had heard about racing skippers getting very demanding of the crew when they were racing. He was worried about getting sworn at etc. He was asking each of us in the crew, quietly, if our skipper was like that (he wasn't/isn't- perhaps one of the most patient skippers out there) One of the things he always forgot though was to put his sunscreen on- so when the skipper called down to our foredeck man who was down below putting on his foul weather gear " Mike, bring up the 45 when you come" The newbie did get pretty wide eyed!

After months at sea, one day the captain say to the crew "Mates, I have some good news and a little bad news".
"The good news is everyone gets a change of underwear!" The crew is amazed at this surprising news.
"The bad news is John you'll be changin' with Henry, and William you change with Hank.........
