depth

i have just purchased a catalina 250 and want to install depth..where is the best location for the thru hull transducer...??thanks

Hi Don -The best place to install a depth transducer is right in front of the keel, pointing straight down. If this isn't feasible, locate a place as close to the front of the keel as possible - another option is to install an adjustable in-hull transducer which required no hole. This degrades the signal approx 10% but may be sufficient. Best,Trevor
