I have a Lorad Depth Gage in my H23. This came with the boat when it was new. It has not been used much. My boat is also kept in a slip from April to November here in Michigan. When I turn the unit on, it takes a few minutes to find the depth. Now it remains at zero or once in a while it will blink off and on giving the correct depth, but usually remains at zero. I adjusted the clear sea for all settings but it doesn't seem to make a difference. I also checked all the wiring but can't see anything wrong. I sail in water from 60 ft to 15 ft. Please let me know if you have any suggestions. Thanks Lee (Merri-Lee)

Krud on your sender/reciever

Is there krud built up on the thru hull sender/receiver? That will affect it's accuracy and display.

Transducer

Lee, I don't know if this is applicable to your model or not, but on mine I have a transducer that is mounted inside the hull and it is in a well filled with oil. At one time the oil was slightly low in the well and the readings would be erratic. Once I added a little mineral oil to the well it worked just fine.
