Can anyone give us a clue as what to look for and check? Our depth finder and temp. gauge are not reading!!

Sometimes there is not a continuos run of wire from the transducer (the device attached to the hull) to the display unit. Check the wire and inspect any connectors for corrosion.

Start Checking at Display Meter End

Had that problem last year. Turned out that the plug was lose at the meter end. Normally the wire is a single line and directly connected to the sensor at the other end. Hence a quick check at the display meter end will probably locate your problem. You didn't mention it, but I am assuming that the display meter is powering up. If not, then check the power from there to the power panel.
