Could anyone recommend a depth finder that fits the existing bulkhead cut out in the Oday 22. I assume I have the original equipment supplied by the manufacturer. Its a Standard Communications Corp Model D51. My assumption is based on the fact that the transducer is neatly installed just in-front of the keel, 4' or so below the bow waterline flush with the hull. Wires are all there for the transducer but the connections don't seem to match-up with the depth finder.

Westmarine advertises a $100 piece of equipment. Anyone have any other suggestions: NORCROSS MARINE D10D Hawkeye Digital Depth Sounder. The price seems reasonable but some reviews are not very good.

I installed a Hawkeye on mine 3 years ago and It's a great option at a low cost.
I mounted my transducer with silicone under the port bench seat near the companion way area. Works like a charm.

Thanks Kevin, that's exactly where I was thinking of putting my transducer. The hawkeye manual recommends front of keel but the hull is flat back there and fiberglass a lot thinner.
