Depth Finder

I have purchased a hawkeye D10D depth finder.
I plan on mounting on inside surface of hull forward of shoal keel-according to instructions(starboard side)
I wanted to know if anyone has had "bad or false" readings doing this...and if there is a better place to mount

I mounted my sounder on the inside of the hull on my Precision 23. I put down a big glob of silicone and moved the sounder around, get any air out.

It worked very well.

Mounted mine centered in the bow in resin and I have no problems. As previously posted very important not to have any air bubbles.
