I recently installed one...
...in my h33. It is sitting in a bed of epoxy in one of the lockers in the salon as close to the keel as possible. Some said not to do this and others said why not. I did not want to pull the boat mid-summer to do a thru hull. It works very well. It was also a listed recommendation in the instruction manual. Some said to bed it into silicone. Don't do this. The bubbles in the silicone can give you false readings. Epoxy is recommended.
