Demise of the 309?

Spoke to one of the brokers at the local Catalina dealer today. He said the 309 and the 320 are being discontinued, and will be replaced by an intermediate new model (either a 317 or 319, he wasn't sure which). Apparently, the new model was supposed to be introduced at the Annapolis show, but was delayed so it won't happen until some time later in the year. Orphaned already! (Still love my boat, though).

My dealer in Aus said they were only doing some changes to the 309.
Time will tell.

I can state with certainty that the 320MKII is out of production, which is a tragedy since the 320 hull has served Catalina and it's owners well. It will be interesting to see which hull the 317/319 will be based on if in fact the 309 is history as well.

There's an announcement and some chatter on Catalina's Facebook page about the 375 also being discontinued now that the 385 is going into production. That was a really short run for a boat that won so many accolades just 2 years ago. Looks like Catalina is really streamlining their product line.
