Nice N Easy
Just thought I would post this information. Shortly before leaving Ct. and heading south, I thought maybe I should get a better anchor for the boat than the two Danforths it had on board. Mostly because they don't do very well in grass, and we were heading south. Ended up buying a 22# Delta, which is one size over what they say this boat should have. Last night the forecast was wrong, and instead of winds from the west, we had strong southerly breezes, like gusts to 40 knots, and were exposed to the worst of the swell coming up Chesapeak bay. This morning, when ready to leave, I found that I had also managed to misread the rode markers in the semi darkness when anchoring up last night. Instead of having out 80', only had out 30. High tide last night we were in approx. 12 to 15' of water. The Delta never budged. It was a sandy bottom, with good holding, but two or three to one scope, and still holding. What do you say.
