Ok...now I'm sure I'm openning myself up to a lot a lot critics, but who would be willing and how much would it cost to sail a Hunter 37.5 to Hawaii? As some may know, I'm looking for a new job. I maybe be getting a contract in Hawaii and will have to report to work immediately so I will not be able to sail it there. If the contract turns out to be a long term contract, I would like to have my boat there. Now I know I'm going to get slammed because a Hunter isn't considered to be a blue water boat, but I like it and don't want to sell it.

Dockwise Yacht Transports

Bill, You might look into having your boat shipped to Hawaii. I'm not positive, but think that Dockwise Yacht Transports delivers there and you should be able to get a quote on their website. Gary Wyngarden S/V Wanderlust H37.5

Unexperienced couple did it with H340..

They sailed all the way from Miami to Bermuda - Azores and to Turkey.Crossed Atlantic and Med.sea last year. And still '..Hunter boats considered not for blue water boats..' And still sailing on a 37.5 boat to Hawaii is a big problem...if it is a Hunter boat... Isn't it interesting?

Probably no more wierd than sailing it to HI!

Bill: That trip from TX to HI is probably 6-8 weeks. How much do you think a delivery crew would charge of this type of a trip? You would need to pay for the personnel, food, fuel and all the potential damage. I think you may find a transporter is not too bad of a deal!
