What equipment is avalable? Specificaly an auto pilot and radar.

boat does not have radar......epirb yes autopilot yes was gonna hire liferaft/buy...if price is right maybe i can afford radar,anybody got any thoughts cost wise,im understanding of british costs .window weatherwise need be in Azores before middle of july ........appox 20 days sail from florida,so looks like july 1st last chance this year,boat will be ready early june .

Try to leave earlier

20 days if your lucky. There are lots of deadwind areas between Florida and Azores and I don't think your boat will have enough tankage to motorsail a lot. Also, from what I've heard, when people get to the Azores, they want to hang around for a while. The ideal weather window has you leaving Florida now to mid may.
