Can anyone give me any info on facilities capable of off loading, preping and launching my 84 Hunter 31 in or around the Deleware City area. I am considering transporting my boat from inland lake in NH to the start of the C & D Canal and would appreciate any info on locations capable of providing the necessary services of stepping the mast, tuning rigging & launching.

Closest would be Summit North Marina in Summit Bridge, Del ... right in the middle of the C&D canal - expensive.
For better pricing check out the marinas on the Sassafras River (Georgetown or Fredericktown MD), the Harve de Grace area, Worton MD (Worton Cr, Handys Pt. marinas), Rock Hall MD, etc. etc. Be sure to get 'contract' prices - not approximations/guestimates.

Other possibilities would be along the New Jersey shore or up the Northeast River at the head of the bay.

Tidewater Marina in HavreDeGrace MD is the closest Hunter dealer in the top of the Chesapeake bay. They are more likely to get that B&R rig set up right the first time than anyone else.; and if you need any work done or parts....etc.

Tidewater in Harve de Grace is your best choice for Hunter support and understanding of the rigging of the B&R rig. There are at least three marinas on the Northeast River that could launch the boat, but I would only trust Tidewater to do the rigging.

And just to add, Havre De Grace is only a few hours run to the C&D when you are ready to go.
