Fiberglass delaminates because of problem during construction, not because of age. A two year old boat that was laid up with a batch of improperly mixed resin can delaminate. Before you buy, have the boat surveyed, they will be able to detect any delamination.
...is that many Catalina 27s were built wrong with a faulty aspect ratio. They had to be retrofitted with an wooden extension off the bow (like a miniature gang plank) to move the forestay farther forward. Ask around if that matters.
