Two Questions.. 1. Has anyone found a good dehumidifier that would fit under the salon seating area for a 2001 Hunter 380. I don't always want to run the air conditioning unit because it is not always warm but it is very humid in Toronto. 2. Has anyone ever installed a blower fan in the diesel compartment of the 380. I find that after shut down, I get that smelly diesel fume in the aft cabin. I have checked for leaks but it is A-OK. I thought a small fan to remove the smell might work. Thanks. See my photo post in 2002 "Blower on 380"

We installed an inline blower on our 380 for just the reason you mentioned. Works great we run after killing engion for 20 mins, and then a few min an hour later to remove all the heat. I have since put an 90 elbow to run vent line to the upper portion of the engion compartment to better deal with fumes and heat.

Dehumidifier

There is a stainless steel dehumidifier made in Illinois about the size of an old fashioned breadbox. When I go to my boat this weekend I will get the manufacturer's name and telephone number and reply to your post again. I have used one for 5 years to save the A/C unit and it works great. I keep it set on 55% RH in my Hunter 34 and am mildew free. However, my friend purchased one and he said that the RH setting doesn't work and he is not a happy boater but his boat is megatimes larger power cruiser.
