I thought you got disqualified if you didn’t have all the crew on board at the end of the cruise.and continue the cruise as planned![]()

yeah, but 10% is infinitely better than 0%! Great name for your boat!Wow! Interesting discussion. I’m the lucky one surviving SCA on the tennis court. Bystander nurse did CPR and the club had an AED. No heart pumping for 7min. Heart started on 1st shock. Regained consciousness 20 min later in ambulance. Cause was electrolyte problem. Now have a SICD in case it happens again. Went out and bought a new to me faster boat while recovering from implant. Named it Jumpstart. No problems now for 3-1/2 years. Even with a portable AED your odds are less than 10% of surviving SCA outside of a hospital.
A totally rare thread on SBO that I read stem to stern and learned a ton. Thx KG for the topic and @MikeHoncho for the expertise. I hope you are around if I ever code. Good read. Not for CA but defiantly for breather patients like COPD or Congestive Heart Failure. You would have to have a big bottle. Compressed gas of a oxidizer on a boat.........cost to benefit again......
There is some interesting literature out that talks about the effectiveness of different type of tourniquets. I have always just planned on using a belt or something. There is a high rate of failure if the application doesn’t use the twist stick (can’t remember what it is called) to tighten it down.
Thx. I’ve long been impressed by what I’ve learned reading SBO! Many knowledgeable folks in here. BTW. Best wishes with the new job and new ride!A totally rare thread on SBO that I read stem to stern and learned a ton. Thx KG for the topic and @MikeHoncho for the expertise.
