I have the great advantage of living 45 min from Defender so I go to the outlet to shop instead of online. Of the many, many, many times I've shopped there I have never once had anything but a great experience. All of the people (staff) are wondefully friendly and helpful, and always seem to show that you are the most important comodity, but never are a hard sell. This holds true even duing the mayhem of the spring warehouse sale where the store can have literally hunderds of people packing the isles. I feel very strongly about supporting an operation like this. There are few left these days.
I can see how hard this decision must be but it will not affect this customer. I purchased my GPSMAP176C there 6 years ago. When the time comes to replace it Defender will be the first place I go to shop for a new one and I suspect I'll pick from the brands Defender carries.
