Sorry, but the reason no one responded is because you had your post mixed up in another thread.Probably, the first thing you need to do is get yourself new batteries. If the charger brought the old one(s) up enough to make everything work, that's probably all you need at the present time.Then, as you admitted that you don't know squat about sailboats, no shame here, at least your smart enough to admit it, get some help from an old salt at the marina to help you check your boat out and make sure it's safe, if no one will help you, hire someone to do it before you hurt yourself.The learning curve is steep, but not impossible. I've been doing this for years and still learning. Your fellow boaters will more than likely try to help you as much as they can. Don't be ashamed to ask or admit to your lack of knowledge, the only dumb question is the one not asked. You might also be interested in signing up for some keel boat classes and the Coast Guard Marine Safety Classes. Go to the USCG web site and check it out. You get out of sailing exactly what you put into it.
