Deck space

I am currently interested in purchasing my first sailboat. I was wondering what Catalina around 30 feet would offer the most deck space? Please reply to jstrahlm@indiana.edu

For cockpit area and deck space check out a Catalina 320. It has a huge cockpit that holds 10 people and a very wide 12' beem!

Deck Space?

I not sure I understand the question. I just bought my first sailboat this year, A Catalina 30 TR. I never really considered deck space. Do you mean deck layout or cockpit space maybe? Or are you thinking about putting a towel out on the foredeck to sun bathe? My primary considerations were sailability and saleability. The former to assure I would enjoy the boat and the latter in case I didn't or want to move up.

The bigger the boat the more deck space it has. Obviously a C36 would have more than a C30 so... In terms of 30' boats though, the C30 is definitely big. Maybe more details about exactly what you're looking for would yield better answers. LaDonna
