The anchor light for our "88 model H23 is powered from a 12v socket mounted on the deck near the mast step. The plug has been broken. The replacement plug that Boat US and West Marine stock is not "quite" the same, and therefore won't fit the socket. Is there an exact replacement available? The alternative of replacing the socket is a major pain because Hunter did not leave enough wire to remove and reconnect it.

socket style

Bill; What style is it? They are typically either a 3 or 4 pin military threaded connector. The pin quantity and configuration can be different. Sometimes they can be found at industrial electrical supply houses or through someone like Grainger or McMaster Carr - usually for a lot less than a boat parts place. Gary

Bill, Is there any possibility of using the ..

existing wire as a messinger wire to run longer new wires and replacing both plugs? If not, try some of the larger catalog electronic stores. Radio Shack etc. Another idea might be to get an electronic repairman that can work tight places and short wireing conditions to build a wiring bridge.

Got Mine at West Marine

My masthead light is a two wire plug. I bought the watertight deck receptacle and plug assembly from West marine Model 281352 and Model 115016 They fit the existing hole fine and took about 10 minutes to rewire and repot in the deck The connectors are made by Perko Ward
