I have a 2001 Hunter 320 with in-mast furling. The deck hardware setup includes a "Schaefer Deck Organizer, Triple Sheave" on each side for the lines. The port side organizer is set up with a jib halyard, furl in, and furl out. The starboard organizer is set up with main halyard, main sheet, and outhaul (for main furling). This was all well and good until I added (today) a spinnaker halyard to be used for bring a dinghy on and off the foredeck, lifting the first mate to the top of the stick (under protest), and possibly a future cruising spinnaker. I also installed a fourth turning block at the port side base of the mast. Now, I want to run the bitter end of the spinnaker halyard back to the cockpit so that I can use the port winch on it. The problem? My port side organizer is "full". Does anyone have experience with this dilema and a solution. I have seen on Sailnet a 4 sheave deck organizer but am concerned about the positioning on the deck over the obvious reinforced top deck. Thanks, Ron Parkes s/v Contemplation

Double Stack Triple

Why not replace organizer with with a double-stacked triple. This will give you three new routings aft, six if you replace both Port and Starboard. They use the same fastener holes that you currently have on deck. You just have to get longer bolts. On my 1985 31' I replaced the two single-stacked double organizers with two double-stacked doubles to give me 4 new routings aft. Painless, works great. Lines

Or you can take out the reefing lines. You won't need them AND a spinnaker at the same time!
