I want to install some deck non-skid material on my sailboat. I have seen it on other boats but I cannot locate it in my area. It seems to be a glue-on process and the material resembles the surface of a hard surface tennis court. Any ideas as to the manufacturer(s) Ramon

Are you sure that is what you want to use?

Ramon: Are you sure that you want to use this stuff? It is very expensive. There is an article on Sailnet about recovering decks with this and it cost a couple thousand dollars. The article can be found at http://www.sailnet.com/collections/articles/index.cfm?articleid=suelar0190 Another option is to use rollable gelcoat. It only costs about $40-50/gal. Lookup www.fiberglass101.com They have some instructions on how to do this.

use 3m non skid tape

3m put out self adhesive tape available in width of 10mm or 150mm and roll lenghts of 18m ,it is available in a range of colours inc clear , you just cut and lay strips on the area that requires extra grip , i have used this in the system in the past and found it to be very efficient
