Deck Hardware Base

I am installing some new deck hardware and want to put them on a base of some kind. This is to rais them up a little so water can't pool and make it harder for water to get in. I will put epoxy around the bolt holes so there will be no deck core exposed even if water does get in. What would people recommend for this?
