have to replace waste deck fill on 1982 27 . po ruined threads on fill pipe.Oem equip. no longer available.Any insight's? leaning towards useing new pvc rather than stainless. all advice greatly appreacated.

316 investment cast stainless won't corrode, crack or chip. And, unlike pvc, the threads won't break with age if the cap is cross-threaded. How'd the P.O. manage to damage the threads on your existing fill? That's HARD to do!
