Deck Fill Installation

I am installing 2 deck fills (1 for waste and the other for water) since my H27 has a portapotti and no deck fill for water. I am getting tired of hauling a full holding tank through the cabin and cockpit to pump out as well as snaking a hose down the forehatch underneath the v-berth custions to fill the water tank. I need to know, on H27's with deck fills, where the deck fills are exactly located. My plan is run 2 lengths of 1 1/2" hose for waste and water, drill a hole in the deck for deck fills and connect them. If anyone has done this, please let me know what problems you ran into. I changed out the portapotti in our 1980 H27 for a bowl with an attached 9-gal. tank right below. Toilet flushes with pressure water. Like you, had to install deck fitting. Ran hose from tank thru hole drilled into face of hanging locker, up back of hanging locker (the one behind the head, not the drawers), and out thru deck. Used ordinary hole drill to drill thru deck. Don't let anyone tell you that H27's are lightly built--that deck is almost an inch thick! Sealed edges of plywood with epoxy, let dry, and used plenty of 5200 to bed fitting. It's worked like a charm. But you will have nightmares about making that first cut thru the deck! Reply if you have additional questions and I will followup in a couple of days. May even post photo's later!
