It would be cheaper to buy a whole new deck assembly, hire three plumbers to install it, a project manager to oversee it, and throw a catered party with dancing girls to celebrate the installation .
And if it is a state owned boat, you will have to send out an RFP (Request For Proposal), get three quotes, then write a long explanation as to why the cheapest is not your prefered vendor. Wait for that to get approved. 18 months later you can contact the winning bidder only to learn that material costs have gone up and now you have to start over.

................................ and there's now 6" of water in the diesel fuel tank because it's been without a cap for all that time and it's been an exceptionally wet year and a half.

It's state owned and above my pay grade to tape a plastic baggie over the opening. Tough :pimp:. Take it up with my union rep :yeah: .

I inspect and test HVAC systems for a living. As I walk the job site, I always keep my eyes open for "Blue Film for Duct Protection" in the trash bins. The trashed rolls always have a decent amount left on them. I just found one that has about 50' on it. It is adhesive and 2.5 mil or 3 mil in thickness. It makes a great emergency cover for all kinds of stuff.

Here is a link if you would like to read a little more about it.

Beneteau 343 Slidell, LA
Attwood 66061-3 Replacement Stainless Steel Deck Fill Cap with Chain
Beware, deck fills on a Beneteau have metric threads. They are manufactured by a European company, Osculati. The part number on the stainless steel deck fill is located on the bottom side of the cap. There was a post a while back about a missing deck fill cap (that went overboard) for a Beneteau 343 by @swisssally . It can be ordered from Beneteau spare parts for a reasonable cost.
