Deck Core Material

Good evening group; looking for some insight as I am considering the purchase of a 1984 34. Is the deck core including the area around the windows constructed of plywood or Balsa on this vintage of 34. Surveyor has indicated there many be moisture issues with the boat I am looking at but the severity of moisture penetration would depend on the core material. Thanks for any insight you can provide

Don: If the moisture is just around the windows, this is not that uncommon. Once the ports are removed, they can be treated and the ports replaced. If there is moisture in the deck are, then this could be much more serious.
