I have a 1976 O'day 25. The deck cleats are mounted thru balsa core with a 3 inch x1 inch metal backing plate. I will be on the chesapeake and western long island sound. Is it necessary to strengthen/move these cleats? I will always try to get to a protected area for a storm but I imagine I'll get caught sooner or later like at nite. thanx, gene
