I have seen those “PICTURES OF SHAME”. Some are down right scary. Made me wonder about the Darwin theory of boat ownership... I think the problems skip an owner.

When I bought this boat in Rhode Island, my original plan was to spend a week up there this spring going over it. Then sail it down.
Now I am so very glad I had it trucked down before bad weather as that gave me the time to go over every system before I put it in the water.
It's more work than I expected but I hope to catch and remove any Hall of Fail nominees before I hit the water.

Regarding those L5-30 30A Hubbell connectors, my marina is skeptical about the SmartPlug because it's not UL listed, even though it has been tested by Intertek and is ETL marked.
