I'm thinking of installing davitts on our Oceanis 390, so that we can use a 3m RIB with the outboard left on while cruising (instead of using inflatable).
Anybody done this on a 39o? What the most sensible way to do it? I saw one which combined a radar arch...is this a good idea?
Thanks you for any ideas.

I have a 393 with the Kato dinghy davits. Very well made. You can install them yourself or hire a local rigger/outfitter. Look up Kato Marine.

I have Davits on my Oceanis 390 to carry my 3m inflatable and i will also buy a 3m RIB. A solarpanel is mounted on the Davids. There is additionally a separate radarmast with a bar for the windgenerator. This combination works very well.
Take a look on my attached Picture

We also have a Kato davit system on our 390 with a solar panel mounted. Ours was set up for an 8.5m RIB and works great. Plan this year to put in a couple of risers to get the solar panel higher (I hit my head jumping off the swim platform last year) but the system is well designed and Kato installed.
